The typical procedure that I follow is to make my meal in the morning, shut the lid, store it in my bag, and then not think about it again until it is time for a late lunch. I switch on the box, pick the temperature and heating time, and leave it on my desk while I accomplish a few chores whenever my break is approaching. My meal will have been evenly heated and will be prepared by the time I sit down to eat it. When I am able to remain in my workstation and not have to share equipment with other people, lunchtime becomes a calmer and more adaptable experience for me. After using it for a few times, I became aware of the amount of time that various meals required, and at this point, selecting the appropriate combination is almost instinctive. I completely charge it at the beginning of the week, and it is often able to cook multiple meals before it needs another charge. That would involve having a couple of lunches with coworkers and maybe eating a meal in the vehicle on a busy weekend day for me. This lunch box gives the impression of being very liberating due to the fact that it allows you to heat up your meal in locations where there are no electrical outlets in the immediate vicinity, such as a park bench or a parking lot. I am no longer restricted to a break room or kitchen in order to have a hot meal.

I recently received this Omboos Lunch Box with its stainless steel inner container. My initial impression was of a highly practical and modern device. The design, which includes an inner metal container and an insulated outer shell with a heating element, promised the convenience of a hot meal on the go.I used this product as a portable battery powered lunchbox, preparing my meals at home and heating them up at work or while traveling.What I particularly liked about the product is the freedom it provides. Being battery-powered means I can enjoy a hot lunch absolutely anywhere—no microwave or even a wall outlet is needed. This is a huge convenience! The stainless steel inner container is excellent for two reasons: it’s durable, and it’s easy to clean, often being dishwasher safe. Most importantly, the lunchbox does a great job of heating the food evenly, ensuring a warm, comforting meal that is far superior to cold leftovers or mystery microwave food.While the convenience is top-tier, the only minor consideration is that battery-powered heating can take a little longer than a microwave, so pre-planning the heating time is essential.In summary, this Omboos Electric Lunch Box is an excellent product for anyone who needs a reliable and portable way to heat their food. This is a nice warming lunch box great for switching up from cold lunches. I am so happy to report that not only is a power adapter provided (all devices should come with one but many don’t), but that it is a verified ETL certified adapter. The model/manufacturer are in the database.The lunchbox comes with a set of stainless steel utensils, a power adapter and charging cord, and an insulated lunch bag. The utensils are useable but the spoon does have some rough edges where the handle meets the bowl of the spoon. On power up the lunchbox was showing full battery bars, so I did not have to charge it. After a 30 minute heating cycle it still had 3/4 battery showing on the indicator.I washed the inner bowl and utensils with soapy water and wiped down the main unit before testing. I decided to try this out with a can of unheated condensed vegetable soup. I put the contents and water (568ml total) into the stainless steel insert and gave it a quick stir – room temperature. I did take some clips of video during heating and have included these.I set the heating for 30 minutes at 212F and set it to start. Initial temperature indicated as 96F. During the 30 minutes, the temperature did consistently rise but was still between 185-190F about 22 minutes in. The highest temperature achieved was 199F. During heating, as the heating cycles it does fluctuate up/down by about 5 degrees.After the 30 minutes, the alarm beeped and it automatically turned onto warming mode. I left it about a minute and the temperature dropped to 181F. I then pulled the top off and there was definitely steam inside the inner lid. I lifter the steam port with a fork and removed the inner lid. The soup was obviously not boiling but was definitely heated all the way through and at an adequate temperature for eating. I did still blow on the spoon to cool it a bit.The exterior of the unit was a little warm, mostly on the bottom after heating, but in what I would consider an acceptable amount. It was not overly hot or uncomfortable to the touch. The table below the unit was not hot.Overall, it works as intended. Cooking time and temperature achieved will obviously vary depending on the volume and temperature of the contents. I think there will be some trial and error involved in determining the proper settings. I’m excited for trying new lunches out in this on the go.

I am really happy with this wireless heated lunch box. I was using a heated lunch box before that required it to be plugged into the auxiliary power outlet in my car. I loved that lunch box, but this one does the same thing but without having to be plugged in! That is a huge plus!This lunch box comes with good direction and is very simple to use. I have used for several different kinds of food and it has not once disappointed — it works great with soup, with solid foods (my chicken, rice, and bean lunches), or foods that are somewhere inbetween (I love to keep my chili warm in this lunch box). It keeps the food at a suprisingly warm temperature. The timer feature means that if you are not going eat very soon, you can put your food in cold, set the timer, and by the time you need to eat the food is completely hot and ready.This is definitely an amazing lunch box and perfect for anyone who prefers a hot lunch over a cold sandwich.

I recently got the chance to try out this heated lunchbox and another similar one, both available on Amazon, so I’ll give a bit of a compare and contrast.Things that were common to both:- They worked! Both worked. I tested them out heating soup with the setting for your meal ready at a future time of day and both beeped, having heated it at that time and then automatically shifted into warming mode.- When using the feature that lets you set a future time for your food to be hot/ready, you are only given times that are on the hour or hour and a half on the clock. So, for example, you could have it ready for lunch at 11:30am, 12pm, 12:30pm, or 1pm but you could not set it for 12:15pm (that’s not on the hour or hour and a half points on the clock). I was a little surprised by that. You set the current time in hours and minutes, so I thought it strange that you couldn’t use that same precision for when your food should be ready.- The capacity is surprisingly large—bigger than it visually looks. My full can of soup filled it maybe a third of the way.- They operates without being plugged in. With the holidays coming up, I’m thinking I could make use of these for keeping appetizers warm while entertaining. They’re really quite handy beyond taking lunch somewhere even.- The upper compartment for the cutlery it comes with is cute and handy.- The stainless steel bin that the food goes in is easy to clean.- Neither heated the food quite to the temperature I set, stopping at 4-6 degrees C below that. So in the future I’ll err on the side of setting it hotter.Key differences (compared with https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0FSLHX58D):-This model’s screen stays bright throughout use and has more brightness to it with the numbers being white; the other was more like a calculator’s screen and dimmed when it wasn’t interacted with for a time. So, if it’s going to be used in dim lighting or you have poorer sight, this one may be better.-This model’s interface has soft buttons like on some microwaves, whereas the other was dials; so take note if you have a strong preference for either one.- I did find the interface on this one less intuitive as everything’s not always shown on the screen. Instead, the information is cycled through after you push the right thing for it. The instructions are clear though, so once I read the step-by-step, I had it working.- This model does not have a lock feature for the settings, whereas the other one does. Given that this is intended to be portable, and so moved around, that feature is important to me.- The designs of the lids are slightly different, but I think both work pretty much the same (both have the cutlery compartment and clamp shut around the base).
